Senior Backend Developer

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and high-performance backend services, APIs, and systems.
• - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical solutions.
• - Develop technical strategies to optimize system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• - Write clean, high-quality, maintainable code with best development practices. 
• - Participate in architectural discussions and contribute insights to system design decisions.
• - Guide and mentor junior developers, providing technical expertise and fostering growth.
• - Oversee the testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of backend components.
• - Lead code reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
• - Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies.
• - Research and experiment with innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• - Champion security and data protection measures within backend systems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements:

• - Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or another related subject.
• - At least 3 years of backend software development experience.
• - Experience designing or implementing public-facing REST APIs.
• - Strong experience in programming languages: Golang/Nodejs/Python . 
• - Experience in python/Django and MySQL/Postgres is a plus.
• - Proficiency in designing, querying, and optimizing databases, both relational and non-relational ( Postgres, MongoDB ,...).
• - Familiar in microservices, event-driven architecture.
• - Knowledge of cybersecurity.
• - Experience in working with systems or CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Docker.
• - Well-versed in working within the agile environment.

Nice to have:

• - Knowledge about logistics is a plus.
• - Strong knowledge in DevOps and Cloud technology ( AWS, Google Cloud,... )..
• - Experience in mentoring team members and coordinating development tasks.
• - Additional frontend (ex. React.js) experience will be greatly valued as well.
