Senior Backend Developer

Key responsibilites:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and high-performance backend services, APIs, and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop technical strategies to optimize system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Write clean, high-quality, maintainable code with best development practices.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute insights to system design decisions.
• Guide and mentor junior developers, providing technical expertise and fostering growth.
• Oversee the testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of backend components.
• Lead code reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
• Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies.
• Research and experiment with innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• Champion security and data protection measures within backend systems.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or another related subject.
• At least 3 years of backend software development experience.
• Experience designing or implementing public-facing REST APIs.
• Strong experience in programming languages: Golang/Nodejs/Python.
• Experience in python/Django and MySQL/Postgres is a plus.
• Proficiency in designing, querying, and optimizing databases, both relational and non-relational ( Postgres, MongoDB ,...).
• Familiar in microservices, event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity.
• Experience in working with systems or CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Docker.
• Well-versed in working within the agile environment.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge about logistics is a plus.
• Strong knowledge in DevOps and Cloud technology ( AWS, Google Cloud,... ).
• Experience in mentoring team members and coordinating development tasks.
• Additional frontend (ex. React.js) experience will be greatly valued as well.
